It was a weird day. Yesterday I’ve read a text about being in harmony with your life. This text suggests to see the negative aspects of your life as the ones giving you motivation to change, inspiration to creative solutions and the basis of later success. For me it doesn’t really matter what exactly was stated, but what it would inspire within me.

Look. Pain isn’t that bad as I once thought it is. Tonight I jumped into cold water as we visited the local baths spontaneously. First I was afraid of the cold water but then I just got in and knew that I would get comfortable with the temperature. Later that night I’ve hurt my leg, but I just grinned. Pain is nothing that we should be afraid of. It’s an indicator of a possibility of growth. When you experience pain you know that you drastically expanding your comfort zone. If you will survive, you’ll grow. And let me tell you, that it’S great to feel the pain and simultaneously experience a rush of power over yourself. I am aware of the pain, so I am not the pain. I am the power that perceives the pain without judging it. I have the power over the pain and over myself. And this rush of energy feels very empowering, believe me. Afterwards, anything in life is nothing but a challenge to have fun with. By the way, it was bleeding. That’s where the blogpost headtag was inspired from.

Survival Mindset

It’s a new mindset I’m experiencing which says that any circumstance you survive only makes you stronger than before. So when I feel pain, I’m proud of my body dealing with the obstacles and becoming stronger, healing itself. It’s not intellectual at all, it’s all from within. That’s why this text won’t help you a lot, if you just read it and remember my experience. It’s all about experiencing it by yourself. I know that a ton of people already did experience this, but there are also a ton of people who did not! The screen society of ourday entrepeneurs isn’t always as courageous as they say. In facing the real world some of them may get afraid, but I don’t care. You still should go out there no matter what. Remember: It only makes you stronger.

In summary: Experience it by yourself. Do something exciting but frightening. And when you experience any negative emotion, focus on it consciously.

A process to release negative emotions and shift you into a positive state.

Thank you dear negative emotion. I’m grateful you’ve shown up to indicate my desires I wasn’t aware of. Now that I can understand why you are here and what I am wanting, I can work on achieving it and can release you. Thank you, dear emotion.

Just popped into my mind and helps me releasing my current negative emotions. I think, it changes your perspective on your current emotion. When I feel bad I’m judging it as bad to feel bad. This creates resistance and prevents me from releasing and shifting my emotions. When being thankful for your emotion it dissolves your judgment, releasing the resistance and allowing you to feel better. On top of this you identify the true reason for feeling your emotions which is your deepest desire for some change. But as you know you can only get what you want when you are in vibrational alignment with what you want, you now are able to bring yourself into that alignment through deliberate visualization, thoughts and focusing on the things you want to see.

Last week I’ve written a blog post about tracking your life and it’s benefits. At the end I had announced that I will track my own life too and this are my first insights.

After five days of tracking my life, I’ve gathered some insights I want to implement into my daily life. I’ve tracked my sleeping habits and noticed that going to bed after 12pm affects me negatively. I tend to eat out of boredom, read blogs and surf on twitter for no reason then staying awake. That’s stupid, because I’m using valueable time I could enjoy more doing something different. My productivity declines rapidly and I need 2 hours for a task I normally would get done in 20 minutes. I get frustrated, because I feel the need to be productive before going to bed, without getting many things done. My online time goes up drastically, so I don’t get rest, feeling unfulfilled and stressed. My body gets no time to switch into sleeping mode and therefor lets me lie awake in bed.

Now if I feel bored, frustrated, stressed or unfulfilled it can easily lead to overeating. Because I want to change my feelings instantly I choose to eat something to make me feel better without being hungry. But instead of eliminating the impuls for those feelings, I’m trying to override them. If I wouldn’t stay up that late, I would not feel that way but sleep at night.

When feeling negative emotions through the day I need to replace my reaction-patterns from eating to breathing deeply. You feel more aware of the present moment while breathing in deeply, not giving your power away to habits you’ve installed unconsciously. The moment I notice my cravings for food and their link to my emotions, I can be aware of it without following the impulse. That’s the true benefit of awareness.

When I go to bed before 12pm, I can easily wake up earlier than usual, giving myself special time for silence and joy. I will drink a cup of tea in the morning sun, listening to the birds and letting my thoughts easily come and go. I can do many important and exciting tasks in those morning hours which make me feel productive the whole day long and leaving me fulfilled. I’m enjoying life much more in those silent moments then when I do in those stressed one’s where I feel incomplete.

In summary I’ve realized I want to:

go to bed before 12pm

wake up before 8am

enjoy the morning with a cup of tea in silence

breathe instead of eat

I want to enjoy my life in new ways. I think this is just the first step, because I will notice new habits and create new ideas how to positively change them into something more enjoyable. But I need to take the first step to see the second one. This really feels empowering, so I know I’m on the right path.

I’ve used it to write this article. It covers up your desktop completely, giving you the benefit of concentrating on your writing only. Colors are changeable, there is no User Interface, but you can reach anything via right click. It’s very refreshing, simple and clean. There is nothing more than the .exe file.

You can download the file here.
There is nothing to add. Do you like it? Leave comments.

If confronted with negative experiences, we rarely try to change our perspectives to gain new insights. If we choose, we don’t even need to judge them as negative. But changing our perspective could give us the relief of all our negative emotions or unconscious reactions. We could stay calm, still think emotional uneffected and approach solutions directly. Your current perspective is your own choice.

You are not bound to your current point of view and emotional reaction

We are free to choose what we think and how we feel. We’re just accostumed to our current patterns, so they get activated unconsciously, leaving us feeling helpless. But this is just a habit you can change to another. It takes effort and time, but is possible. All it takes at first is awareness of what is. Be aware of what happens inside of your mind and your body, notice any feelings and thoughts which pop in your head. Try to step back and just watch it unfold, don’t stop it. Create a space between yourself and your mind / body. Become aware that you are more than your thoughts and feelings, ’cause you are able to observe them.

It may be easy or hard, but after some effort you’ll create a new habit of becoming aware consciously. The moment you become aware of your thoughts and feelings as an observer, you gain the power to change them. Try to experiment with new perspectives, you don’t even need to go too far. Imagine what it feels like for a child to experience that situation. The child does not know all the facts you know, it’s not living in fear of what happens in the world. It’s living in the present moment. What does it feel like to experience the situation from this perspective. There are several more you can try, like your boss, family, some stranger or even an alien. My favorite perspective is the one that creates the best feelings: the perspective of source.

See the world through the eyes of source

this is a powerful statement of Abraham Hicks. It says that through the perspective of source / god / love, you have the ability to see the beauty in anything you experience. Sometimes it’s hard to let go of your old perspective with topics like child abuse, world war and so on, but it’s possible. The benefit is you feeling better and being able to act with a clearer mind. Everyone has his own definition of god / source and thats great. So anyone will experience the world through the eyes of source in different ways. For me, it means that there is no such thing as death. And if the most bad thing that could happen to me (or others) is to die, there really is nothing to fear. This life is created for fun, it’s like a game you should play with excitement and appreciation for the details and great graphic engine. The negative experiences are serving you well, because they create new desires within you, so you can choose what you prefer to experience in life! Like watching a movie, you experience this negative emotions to extract joy out of the process of living life. The variarity brings you the joy of experiencing “better situations” which make you feel great. Without darkness, there would be no such thing as light. At least we would not recognize it.

Every experience is just an indicator of your past emotions

Considering the law of attraction, your current present moment life situation is nothing more than the result and manifestation of your past thoughts, emotions and therefore it’s vibration. Just don’t take right now too serious. Infact, every experience is also an opportunity to shift your beliefs. If you adopt a new perspective, you can change the way you think about the situation. This changes the way you feel about the situation. Do it to feel better right now. Feeling better again influences your future thoughts about the situation and creates a new belief. Because your beliefs are just repetitions of single, but chronic thoughts. Feeling better changes your beliefs.

At the end your current life situation will change, too. But that’s because of your vibrational work. With your new beliefs you got inspired to new actions which led to new results, just in case you doubt anything will change through changing your thoughts.

Do it to shift your emotional reactions and current quality of living (it feels better to feel better, doesn’t it?!), don’t do it to manifest a new reality. Shifting your vibration with the intent of changing what is, only creates resistance towards what is. With resistance you can’t feel good, without feeling good you can’t change your situation effortlessly. Focus on feeling good.

I’ve started reading @USER’s blogpost about his 6 favorite productivity tips, but got only to no. 5 called “Tracking”.
I know a lot, have a lot of solutions and know what action is necessary to take to reach my goals. But I don’t implement even 20% of my knowlegde and stay mostly where I am. I do not critize myyself for that, but also do not push me out of my comfort zone right now. I’m happy to stay calm and at peace with me most of the time, so I have no need to “punish” myself for my own behaviour. I know what I’m doing (or not doing in this case).

But. If I would track my actions, it would be much harder for me to face the reality. Would I see reality black on white, it would be much easier for me to act on it. It would be something I could change immiedately?? because of the data I’ve got. To addition, I would be rather motivated to improve my life situation instead of letting it flow the way it goes, because I love charts and statistics. Any progress would be directly visible to me. If I eat less food today, I won’t notice anything on my body or the weight I guess. But if I track it, write it down, make a chart to be able to look at it, there would be some kind of satisfaction in that action.

Nevertheless, I’ve though a bit about tracking in general and noticed those 3 principles which apply to it perfectly. Let’s take a look at each of them:

Productivity

Surely, I will become productive tracking my actions. It motivates me like I mentioned above. It also forces me to face reality completely, which leads to more dissatisfaction or awareness (depending on my judgment) and can force me to act on it. Using a chart can be much more effective to involve others into your goals, letting them watch your progress live on the kitchen wall or creating a website which they can visit daily. You gain motivational support from them and the pressure to keep going even if it’s hard.

Awareness

Awareness is the key to living in the present. It creates peace, inner silence and joy. Awareness is independent of any judgment, because it just notices what is. This is the second benefit of tracking. You gain clarity of your current life situation instead of living in denial. If you deny your own life, you deny your ability to change whatever you like, you deny your own power. Awareness brings clarity which brings your power back to you. Awareness can envolve into a zen-like stadium of inner peace, without judgment, leading to the third benefit.

Acceptance

If you are aware of what is, you have the choice to fight it – and feel burdened, or to accept it and feel free. If you feel resistance towards what is, you can’t create something new because you resist your own creation. First you need to accept what your actions have brought you to. Only then you can choose to act differently. You dont need to love your current life situation, but you need to accept it to solve the resistance.

My first attempt

Well, now where I’ve layed down all the benefits of tracking, it would be a shame if I would not start applying it myself! So, to be a great example by myself (*g*) I lay down to you what I want to track starting today.

x my eating habits

x my sleeping habits

x the time I spend on my computer

I think this should be enough, or I won’t have any time left for living. I chose this three areas, because they affect my life quality in many ways. I bet it will be interesting to share it with all of you. Brings positive pressure (;

I’ve started reading @lucianop’s blogpost about his 6 favorite productivity principles, but only got to no. 5 called “Tracking”. Reading about that felt like someone hit the nail on the head. That’s exactly what was missing in my current life situation.

I know a lot, have a lot of solutions and know what action is necessary to take to reach my goals. But I don’t implement even 20% of my knowlegde and stay mostly where I am. I do not critize myself for that, but also do not push me out of my comfort zone right now.

It would be something I could change immediately because of the data I’ve got. To addition, I would be rather motivated to improve my life situation instead of drifting away, because I love charts and statistics. Any progress would be directly visible to me. If I eat less food today, I won’t notice anything on my body or the weight I guess. But if I track it, write it down, make a chart to be able to look at it, there would be some kind of satisfaction in that action.

This week I disconnected from my IM and cell phone. No texting, no chatting.

It transformed my life in crazy ways which I hadn’t expected. I wake up before 9am, sometimes already at 6am. I am living more in the present moment. I get things done with joy and cleaned my room. I exercise to play the piano. I feel good! Let’s focus a bit more on why this small change affected me so much.

Less Distraction.

There is silence in my head. No unnecessary smalltalk with friends, no texting out of boredom. I become bored and choose an activity which excites me most. There’s no need to distract myself from boredom, I just stop being bored. Distracting yourself from boredom is distracting yourself from life itself.
I don’t want to talk down chatting or texting with your friends. But I consider that I would rather want someone to talk to me out of his own interest in talking with me instead of out of boredom. I think I may devaluate my conversations if talking out of boredom, with no reasonable intent?

More satisfaction.

I experience much more satisfaction. I tend to eat out of boredom to experience some kind of emotions right away, but that’s really lazy. Now I rather try to find something of real emotional value to me. This approach works really well. While the positive emotional reaction to food descents relatively fast, other activities give me much more satisfaction. Plus, there is the satisfaction after the activity itself. After eating a donut I feel guilty of eating it with no hunger and out of boredom. Instead, after doing something enjoyable (and maybe challenging?) I rather feel proud of me. There is longer lasting happiness, which I would not experience directly picking up my cell phone when noticing boredom.

What’s boredom anyway?

When I was a child my mother used to tell me only stupid people get bored. The intelligent man becomes creative in finding an activity. Boredom itself is nothing evil, although I tended to judge it that way. But if you think about it, all it does is indicating your activities current level of excitement. If you are bored, there’s no life force flowing through you. All your soul wants from you now is to choose another activity. But many people tend to suffer from boredom instead of appreciating it. Imagine your car’s gas tank being empty, so your car is bored and has no life force flowing through it (no fuel). What do you do? Fill it up with fuel! You don’t cry that it’s life has come to an end. It’s not over. There is nothing incredible happening. Compare your boredom to the gas tank. It’s only an indicator. How you react is your own choice.

Suprisingly, Joshua Becker from Becoming Minimalist wrote also about “Less Texting. More Living.” a while ago. Check out his blogpost, it really resonates with me. Although he encourages us to use our phones less often instead of shutting it down, he’s also saying that texting distracts us from our present lives.

I love the changes in my life. Maybe you want to go completely offline for a week, too? It will change your way of living. And remember, boredom is only an indicator and nothing lasting. Choose something that excites you.

The last post was about the next step you should take and how changing your current direction changes your life circumstances, your manifestations and everything around you. This post is about taking this step even if it seems like not worth taking it. Inspired by Adrea Hess’ last blog post I want to dive into this topic a little bit more.

In short, what Andrea said was, that you should begin small instead of big, because you may be vibrationally not ready to take this leap. And damn, she is right! It’s quite nice to aim high, but if you haven’t shot ever before, you shouldn’t expect your best shot ever. Instead, if you take baby steps (like Andrea calls it), you can turn your vibration up right with your current actions. It’s all about alignment with what you do and where you want to be. It can be pretty hard to raise your vibration about a topic you have a chronic vibration about. But if you take baby steps, this also will solve itself.

Another point is the gigantic change that would occour in your life, if you would take a giant step and your vibration will go with it. You would feel like awakening into another life. Most people would be afraid of that.

But taking no step at all is neither the right choice. Just because you may feel that your actions would be pointless, there could be hidden power in it. You could become more interested, could align with it a bit more and get inspired. Any little action, backed up with the right vibration, could change a lot if you let it do. Relax, do your baby steps and be happy. Because even you will reach someday what you are aiming for, no matter what. You already did it as a child, didn’t you?
